The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order states that businesses are required to complete a written Fire Risk Assessment of their premises (5 or more employees). The Order places the responsibility on the ‘responsible’ person; at the same time it allows the enforcing authority, your Local Fire & Rescue Service, to make sure it is enacted. It requires that the ‘responsible’ person (employers, owners and occupiers) carries out or appoints a competent person, who must have sufficient training experience and knowledge to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment. This is where we can help!
Specialising in offering unbiased, professional advice in all aspects of fire prevention and fire protection, our team of Fire Safety associates have an average of over 30 years experience. They are qualified to deal in all areas of Fire Safety in a range of industries and are all high-ranking members of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).
Fire Risk Assessments
Our Fire Risk Assessment process starts with an interview with the responsible and/or competent person for your site. This is designed to ascertain the level of management procedures with regard to Fire Safety and to understand your premises work practices. Our fully insured risk assessor will then conduct an inspection of your site and the areas in the immediate vicinity. This will involve taking detailed information from members of staff, record requesting and taking photographic evidence if necessary. The produced report will be documented in three stages: review, implementation and action plan.
