Deaf and hard of hearing people staying in sleeping premises are at risk of not hearing the fire alarm. Deafgard X is a moveable device which can be placed at the user's bedside and is activated by System X when the fire alarm sounds.
Deafgard X is a battery powered, wireless unit with a pad attachment that simply goes under the pillow of the sleeping person.
When the fire alarm sounds the Deafgard X pillow-pad vibrates continuously, high intensity LED lights flash and the LCD screen displays ‘fire’.

Deafgard X is activated by System X, which is a completely wireless acoustic system.
System X Acoustic
The wireless version of System X incorporates the very latest radio technology and is installed beside the fire alarm bell or sounder. On identifying an alarm condition using tried and tested acoustic technology, the unit automatically signals to all linked devices. One unit can transmit simultaneously to multiple Deafgard X units within a 100 metre range, subject to a site specific survey.
